Give Power to Your Actions and Thoughts

Sep 08, 2020

Have you ever thought of that one habit or value or an old story about yourself that if you dropped would make your day more successful today? Think about how that limiting belief makes you feel and how they set you back. How then can you change the story you tell yourself every day? Tony Robbins once said, “all of our actions are the results of our beliefs.” Your reasoning is likely to influence what governs your life at the end of the day which will in turn affect drastically your self-esteem. Because of this, you will decide to stay in the comfort zone while ego takes the center stage of your life.

I am today challenging to give power to your actions and thoughts. Is it waking up late that is limiting you from being at work in time? Is it not having a daily routine that makes it hard for you to plan your day? These are just beliefs; you find it hard creating a daily routine you can follow and believe it will not be easy following it to the latter. To shift these kinds of limiting beliefs, you have to look at them as if they are coming from another part of your personality and not your authentic self. You just have to understand the symbiotic relationship between your thoughts and your feelings; Whatever you feel is what you will attract which will in the end impact how you feel.

I know you have that one habit that you have been trying to leave without fail. This is the day to ask yourself if it is indeed a habit that is bothering you and giving you sleepless nights; is it a habit that you can eliminate and replace with a belief that empowers you? Try as much as possible to identify it without fail, this way, you will have just started your journey to breakthrough; In the words of Brian Tracy, “you begin to fly when you let go of self-limiting beliefs and allow your minds and aspirations to rise to greater heights” who apparently wrote a book that I love so much, “Eat that Frog.”

That old story and a deep-seated belief that you keep telling yourself, it is holding you back. These stories are likely to be built on assumptions of what you cannot do. Can you identify an old story that keeps lingering in your mind? Mine used to be, what I do is never enough. I felt that I need to keep pushing every other time but I am getting better and I believe you can too. I have come to learn that in this life, you are the editor of your own story; find where your story diverges from reality and work on it.

I am writing this because I believe in you, I believe you have the power to turn your limiting beliefs into something meaningful today henceforth. “If you really put a small value upon yourself, rest assured that the world will not raise your price.” Jean Sibelius. Have fun redesigning your thoughts and be patient with yourself. Here's to a fresh new chapter page-turner filled with promise.
